Breast Reconstruction
Having breast reconstruction after undergoing a mastectomy is often seen as positive part of the long journey in the treatment of breast cancer. I have had the privilege of working with numerous breast cancer survivors and feel honored to have been able to restore not only their appearance but their self-confidence as well.
Breast reconstruction can be done at the same time as the mastectomy or months to years later. Numerous surgical techniques are available, including use of your own tissue or implants, which will recreate a natural shape, leaving you feel whole again.
The surgery can also be used for patients who are unhappy with a previous reconstruction, or for those who now have asymmetrical breasts after a lumpectomy.
