  • During your consultation, be prepared to discuss the following:

    •Your Surgical goals and expectations. You will discuss your reasons for choosing the procedure and what you’re hoping for in terms of appearance afterward.

    •Previous surgeries.

    •Medical conditions, treatments, and any allergies.

    •Current medications, vitamins, herbal supplements, alcohol, tobacco, and drug use.

  • Dr. Luong will:

    •Evaluate your medical history, general health status, risk factors, and any pre-existing conditions.

    •Complete a physical exam.

    •Discuss your surgical options and recommend a course of treatment.

    •Discuss likely outcomes of the surgery and any risks or potential complications.

  • •Schedule a pre-surgery visit with your plastic surgeon to review your surgery, answer your questions, and have photos taken.

    • Smoking. Smoking decreases blood flow in the skin and can slow the healing process.

    •Avoid taking aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs, and herbal supplements as they can increase bleeding.

    •Arrange for help during recovery. Make plans for someone to drive you home and stay with you for at least the first night of your recovery.
